Linda A. Varner of Whitehall
February 9, 1938 - September 3, 2012

This is being written when I'm 67 and fit as a fiddle. I was born February 9, 1938, in Dayton, Ohio, to Blaine and Helen (Speer) Varner. I was preceded in death by them, my baby brother, baby sister and everybody else. I worked at Howmet for 30 years and it was fun helping the company grow and prosper. I never married or had children and only occasionally regretted it. However, I have made a lot of wonderful friends and to all of you, I say thanks for being there and sharing my life. My life has mostly been devoted to the outdoors - gardening, bird watching, frog catching, fishing, hiking, biking, photography, land management, chasing dogs through the woods, and bullying cats to do my bidding. I had a good time and managed to leap or crawl over most of life's barriers and problems. To those I have left behind - nurture each other, be accepting and forgiving of each other. Get rid of the toxic people and situations in your life. Cultivate your sense of humor as it's the most important thing you have. Laughter at yourself and with others will get you through most anything. See ya'.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE: Will be held at a later date with information available through Clock Funeral Home.

DONATIONS: World Wildlife Fund,  1250 24th St. NW, 20037-1193, P.O. Box 97180, Washington, DC 20090-7180 or The Nature Conservancy, 4245 N. Fairfax Dr., Suite 100, Arlington, VA 22203-1600.
